BoHS
2012 Spring Conference

BoHS Conferences over the last several years have focused on what BoHS members and Human Sciences colleagues would like BoHS and the Human Sciences to become.  The BoHS Board of Directors and staff have used the information to create a BoHS plan of action.  This year’s conference will present the plan’s framework, highlight steps already taken and challenge each BoHS member to actively represent the human dimension in the sciences in their daily interactions.

A Youth Obesity Prevention Summit is an exciting addition to the conference which will be phenomenal.  Key program sessions for the 2012 conference will be Feed the Future and Consumer and Environmental Sustainability.  Feed the Future is a higher education initiative supported by the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities.  Consumer and Environmental Sustainability is a new initiative for BoHS that is quickly moving forward.  Dr. Soyeon Shim will facilitate an enthusiastic panel on this topic.  Details and registration information for the Summit and the conference can be found at www.TheBoHS.org.  We encourage BoHS members to invite guests (faculty/staff and colleagues) to the Conference and Summit.  Registration for  the Conference and Summit is $350; registration for the Youth Obesity Prevention Summit only is $125 prior to February 10, 2012 and $175 after that.
